What is ChowBot?

Technology is moving fast and growing exponentially. In some ways Education has been slow to catch up as many learners are more digitally literate than their tutors. Bridging this gap can be difficult and finding support to use e-learning in teaching is sometimes a big job.

Welcome to ChowBot!

ChowBot is an open source, free and educational resource designed  to generate innovative ideas about how and where to embed e-learning in teaching, learning and assessment. ChowBot is designed to generate a different 'dish' for each course of your lesson menu which includes typically a 'Starter', 'Main' and 'Dessert'.

Each course gives practical tips on how a certain e-learning technology can be used to engage, motivate, teach and assess learners either in a session or series of sessions.

  1. Starter: Associated with induction, initial assessment, lesson starters and new tasks.
  2. Main: Associated with class projects/activities, formative assessment, teaching and learning.
  3. Dessert: Associated with reflection, evaluation, support, revision and summative assessment.

While the content is not currently exhaustive, and there are many great resources available on the internet, there are currently over 30 types of e-learning technologies and dozens of different uses. ChowBot can produce thousands of different combinations so why not try it and let us know what you think? - Why not experiment and share your favourite menu's with us?

Our target for this year is to reach 1 Million menu combinations!
