10 Minute Recipe Challenge

Chowbot can be used as a staff development activity for new and existing staff to broaden their knowledge of e-learning tools and resources and the way they can be used with teaching, learning and assessment.

The 10 minute Recipe Challenge is designed to be a quick task that can be delivered at staff meetings or extended as a bigger part of teaching skills development. Please feel free to adapt and use this activity for your own uses.

Below is a short guide to running the activity and the link below will give you access to the resource pack needed to deliver it.

The brief is as follows:

You need to use the ingredients provided to create an e-learning ‘dish’. You will be given 10 minutes to look at the various tools and resources. You may use the technology provided to help you research the ones you are unfamiliar with. After this you will be given a further 10 minutes to complete the ‘Ten Minute Recipe Challenge

Ready, Steady, Cook! 

  • First select a type of e-learning tool or resource. Feel free to use the ones provided or select one of your own. 
  • Next pick a scenario from the list provided. You may also pick a current issue from your practice
  • Now combine the ingredients to create a project, session or task that meets the need of the scenario.
  • Record your results on the menu card provided. 
  • Nominate a spokesperson to feedback your dish to the group
